Agree entirely with Chim
And something the commentator said yesterday, early in the game. 'Sheffield United will know they've been in a physical battle against this West Ham team'. Music to my ears and something I don't know I've ever heard before, even under BFS.

Chim - Fully agree with you last point, Wilder would have 100% been looking at this game to get their season started, which is what makes this win even sweeter.

Another West Ham would have tried, usually unsuccessfully, to shut up shop at 1-0 leaving us all pissed off even if we managed it.
At least 'boring' Moyes makes sure we still try and attack, even if it's against teams that don't don't suit our counter attacking football.
It looked a bit messy yesterday but make no doubt how seriously Sheffield UTD were looking at this fixture to try and turn their season around.
It's a much better away win than most of you seem to realise.

Yep. We have a side now that works the ball well into good areas around the opponents goal. Moyes should be saying to Bowen, Arthur, Coufal, Soucek, Rice, Fornals…. Get the ball, make a yard and fire it.

I don't think we're boring either. It looks like the Scotch gargyole has finally got the message that sitting back on a 1-0 lead is always a surefire way to lose 3 points.
We're far easier on the eye than we've been in a long time. I just wish we were more ruthless in front of goal, instead of doing a Wenger and trying to walk it in the net.

''He seems to have found the right balance between flair and fight''
Which he did at Everton, tbf.

We have become a bit of a 'no thrills' side. And that suits me.
And what I mean by that is we aren't relaying on whether an enigmatic talisman turns up on the day or not. Our players are talented but there aren't any individual skill merchants. They play positively and all in the same system. So we have become difficult to beat.
Moyes needs a lot of credit. He seems to have found the right balance between flair and fight.

I dont actually think it's that boring.
A 1-0 under Moyes is much more enjoyable than a 1-0 under BFS for instance.
Looks like we are not trying to win 1-0 it's just how it's worked out the last 2 games.

Been a fan for over 30 years now and been a long time since I felt confident we might be able to protect a lead, almost excited about what we could do this season.
In a, dont bother getting too excited, we are West Ham you have seen all this shit before and it never gets better, kind of way..........

Yeah, it’s not been as entertaining as the Bilic/Payet season but I like the way we’re playing.
When there’s an attack there’s generally a good few players in the box which is good to see. Really enjoying the season so far.

Thing is I don't actually think we're boring.
Always trying to score goals and have a nice bit of flair about us.
With a striker who suits our style of play we'd be banging em in, but can't knock haller today as he done what he's paid for and got the winner.
Irons.
